Education Center ‘Bildungsforum’

The education center 'Bildungsforum’ of the state capital Potsdam opened on September 7, 2013 on Am Kanal street after a three-year construction period. As the joint home of the city and state library (SLB), Continuing Education College ‘Albert Einstein’ (VHS) and the Science Floor (WIS), the education center ‘Bildungsforum’ is unique.

An exciting center for education, media and science is now located in the city center. This education center offers Potsdam’s citizens various opportunities. Due to three institutions (SLB, VHS and WIS) moving into the center, coordinated programs are now available under one roof. This makes for short distances; if someone attends the VHS Potsdam in the evening he/she can borrow the pertinent literature in advance from the SLB or simply relax in a comfortable armchair in the library after a course.
