Optimize the treatment of tumors with the help of innovative and lightning-fast Big Data Analyses? Record virtual backgrounds while shooting a film? Implant an artificial cornea which restores eyesight? This and much more is possible: Innovations “made in Potsdam”.

As different as these examples are, they have one thing in common. They are the result of close collaboration between researchers, users and entrepeneurs in Potsdam. It made possible the development of HANA Oncolyzers by SAP AG, the launch of the Virtual Backlot Live-Technology by Stargate Germany GmbH and the production of the artificial cornea called ArtCornea by the Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Polymer Research.

Potsdam is high-tech. With the University of Potsdam, the University of Applied Science, Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, three private academies and 40 non-university research institutions the state capital has a unique science and research landscape. The strength of Potsdam’s research and development is found in the fields of:
