Commissioner for Migration and Integration
- supports awareness of the integration process for locals and immigrants in the community
- is committed to the reduction of xenophobia
- gives advice with respect to integration and migration questions and where necessary acts as an ombudsman
- distributes relevant information, carries out public relations work on questions concerning integration and migration and which furthers the peaceful coexistence of local inhabitants and immigrants
- connects associations, groups and initiatives working in the fields of integration and migration
- develops and fosters projects and initiatives in the fields of migration and integration
- counsels the city council and the city administration in all projects and measures regarding migration
- works with the Migration Advisory Board of the state capital Potsdam
- is involved in coordinated efforts to implement and update the Integration Plan of the state capital Potsdam
