Potsdam‘s earliest documented mention is from 3 July 993 under the name Poztupimi. In 1993, the capital city celebrated its millennium anniversary throughout the year. From 20 Jan. - 31 Dec. 2018, the exhibition “1000 Years and a Quarter-Century” will present pictures and stories that look back at the past 25 years, within which the cityscape and the city’s atmosphere have changed considerably. Various events in the city will complement the exhibition. The photos and texts relating to the 17 themes of the exhibition can be opened by going to the Table of contents.
